Contingency Days Summer 2026

The exam boards have designated Wednesday 24 June 2026 as the ‘contingency day’ for examinations.

The designation of ‘contingency days’ within the examination timetable is in the event of national or significant local disruption to examinations in the United Kingdom. It is part of the awarding bodies’ standard contingency planning for examinations.

All candidates must remain available for exams until Wednesday 24 June 2026 in case of the need to move an exam.
