The exam boards have designated the afternoon of Wednesday 11 June as ‘contingency afternoon’ and Wednesday 25 June 2025 as the ‘contingency day’ for examinations.

The designation of ‘contingency days’ within the examination timetable is in the event of national or significant local disruption to examinations in the United Kingdom. It is part of the awarding bodies’ standard contingency planning for examinations.

All candidates must remain available for exams until Wednesday 25 June 2025 in case of the need to move an exam to one of these contingency dates.
