Contingency Days Summer 2026

The exam boards have designated Wednesday 24 June 2026 as the ‘contingency day’ for examinations.

The designation of ‘contingency days’ within the examination timetable is in the event of national or significant local disruption to examinations in the United Kingdom. It is part of the awarding bodies’ standard contingency planning for examinations.

All candidates must remain available for exams until Wednesday 24 June 2026 in case of the need to move an exam.

Exam certificates for 2026 Year 11 leavers will be available to collect from main reception from December onwards.

Students who left prior to 2026 and who have not collected their certificates will need to contact the exam boards to obtain these as we are only required to keep them for a year before they are securely destroyed.

GCSE Results Day – Thursday 20 August 2026

• A valid photo ID.
• A signed letter from the student giving permission to collect the results. Please note that this letter will be kept on file for our records.
